Dietitian Made ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website dietitianmade.net (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
We collect information you give us directly when you build a meal plan, including your email address, first name, and the diet, health, food-preference, and household details you enter so we can personalize your plan. We only ask for what we need to build and deliver your plan.
We also automatically collect certain technical information when you visit, such as your browser type, device, general location (from your IP address), the pages you view, and how you arrived at the Site. This helps us understand how the Site is used and keep it working well.
How we use your information
We use the information you provide to create and deliver your personalized meal plan and grocery list, to communicate with you about your plan, and to improve our recipes and service. We use technical information to operate, secure, analyze, and improve the Site.
We do not sell your personal information. We will never share the health or dietary details you enter with advertisers.
Cookies and similar technologies
A cookie is a small file stored on your device. We use cookies and similar technologies only to remember your preferences and to keep the Site working. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not allow third-party advertising networks on the Site. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect how parts of the Site work.
Your meal plan answers
When you use the meal plan builder, your answers are saved in your own browser on your own device so you can close the page and pick up where you left off. If you told us about a health condition, nothing is filled in automatically when you return. The page opens blank and asks first, so that a shared or public computer never shows your answers to the next person who sits down. Those answers stay on your device and are not sent to Dietitian Made until you complete checkout. Choosing "Start fresh" erases them immediately, and anything left unused is cleared automatically after 30 days, or after 7 days if it mentions a health condition.
Analytics
We do not currently use any third-party analytics service on the Site. If we add one, we will update this policy first, we will choose a provider that does not build advertising profiles, and we will never send it the health or dietary details you enter.
How we share information
We share information only with service providers who help us operate the Site and deliver your plan (for example, email delivery and hosting) and where required by law. We require our service providers to protect your information.
Data retention
We keep the information you provide for as long as needed to deliver your plans and provide our service, and as required for legitimate business or legal purposes. You may ask us to delete your information at any time (see Contact below).
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and you can opt out of marketing emails at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. To exercise any of these, contact us using the details below.
Children's privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be highlighted on the Site.
