Dietitian Made ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website dietitianmade.net (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

We collect information you give us directly when you build a meal plan, including your email address, first name, and the diet, health, food-preference, and household details you enter so we can personalize your plan. We only ask for what we need to build and deliver your plan.

We also automatically collect certain technical information when you visit, such as your browser type, device, general location (from your IP address), the pages you view, and how you arrived at the Site. This helps us understand how the Site is used and keep it working well.

How we use your information

We use the information you provide to create and deliver your personalized meal plan and grocery list, to communicate with you about your plan, and to improve our recipes and service. We use technical information to operate, secure, analyze, and improve the Site.

We do not sell your personal information. We will never share the health or dietary details you enter with advertisers.

Cookies and similar technologies

A cookie is a small file stored on your device. We use cookies and similar technologies only to remember your preferences and to keep the Site working. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not allow third-party advertising networks on the Site. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect how parts of the Site work.

Your meal plan answers

When you use the meal plan builder, your answers are saved in your own browser on your own device so you can close the page and pick up where you left off. If you told us about a health condition, nothing is filled in automatically when you return. The page opens blank and asks first, so that a shared or public computer never shows your answers to the next person who sits down. Those answers stay on your device and are not sent to Dietitian Made until you complete checkout. Choosing "Start fresh" erases them immediately, and anything left unused is cleared automatically after 30 days, or after 7 days if it mentions a health condition.

Analytics

We count visits to the Site ourselves, so we can see which pages people find and how far they get through the meal plan questions. The count is numbers only: which kind of page was opened, which kind of site sent you there (for example Instagram, Pinterest or a search engine), and which step of the questions was reached. It uses no cookie and no identifier, does not record your IP address, and never includes anything you enter in the questions. The small note that stops a reload from being counted twice is kept in your browser tab and is gone when you close it. Pages for members, such as your portal, are not counted.

We do not use any third-party analytics service on the Site. If we add one, we will update this policy first, we will choose a provider that does not build advertising profiles, and we will never send it the health or dietary details you enter.

How we share information

We share information only with service providers who help us operate the Site and deliver your plan (for example, email delivery and hosting) and where required by law. We require our service providers to protect your information.

Data retention

We keep the information you provide for as long as needed to deliver your plans and provide our service, and as required for legitimate business or legal purposes. You may ask us to delete your information at any time (see Contact below).

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and you can opt out of marketing emails at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. To exercise any of these, contact us using the details below.

When you comment on a Dietitian Made post or send us a message on Facebook or Instagram, we read it so we can answer you. Some common questions, like where to find the free sample plan, get an automatic reply with a link. Anything personal, and anything about your health, is answered by Camille herself.

To do this we receive your public name or username, the text of your comment or message, and the identifiers Facebook and Instagram attach to it. We use them only to reply to you. We do not use them for advertising, we do not sell them, and we do not add you to our email list unless you sign up yourself.

YouTube

Dietitian Made uses YouTube API Services to publish our own videos to the Dietitian Made YouTube channel, to read and reply to comments on that channel, and to see how our videos perform. By commenting on our YouTube videos you are also using YouTube, and you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of your information is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

When you comment on one of our YouTube videos, we receive your public channel name, the text of your comment, and the identifiers YouTube attaches to it. We use them only to reply to you, the same way as comments on Facebook and Instagram. We keep a record of which comments we have already answered so nobody gets two replies, and we do not use any of it for advertising or sell it. We read view and watch time totals for our own videos, which say nothing about who you are.

Only the Dietitian Made account signs in to this service. If you have connected any Google account of your own to an app, you can remove that access at any time from your Google account's security settings.

Deleting your data

You can ask us to delete everything we hold about you at any time, including your meal plan answers, your account, and any comments or messages you sent us on Facebook, Instagram, or YouTube. Email Camille@dietitianmade.net with the subject "Delete my data" and the email address or social media username you used. We delete it within 30 days and write back to confirm.

Children's privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be highlighted on the Site.
