Diets we support › Balanced & Healthy
No labels, no rules to memorize. Just good, balanced eating.
Not everyone wants a named diet, and that's completely fine. Our balanced plan is what a dietitian would put together for someone who just wants to eat well: a sensible mix of protein, vegetables, whole grains, fruit, and healthy fats, with nothing dramatic taken away.
Start your Balanced & Healthy plan →Each day gives you a well-rounded set of meals, with protein, produce, whole grains, and healthy fats in reasonable amounts, tuned to your tastes, allergies, and goals. There are no macro targets to hit and no food groups banned.
Anyone who wants to eat healthier without following a specific diet, cutting out food groups, or learning a new set of rules.
It's easy to assume the plainest option is the least impressive, but balanced eating has a lot of quiet evidence behind it. When researchers follow people for a year or two, the strongest predictor of who actually improved isn't which named diet they chose. It's whether they could stick with it. A varied, mostly whole-food way of eating, built on vegetables, fruit, whole grains, protein, and healthy fats, is the pattern most people can stay with for the long haul, and that staying power is what makes it work.
It also lines up with what large, long-running studies keep finding about eating for a long and healthy life. Patterns like this one, close cousins of the Mediterranean way of eating, are tied to lower rates of heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and a range of other conditions. And you get most of that not from any single "superfood," but from the overall shape of your plate: plenty of plants, enough protein, not much ultra-processed food, and no whole food group treated like the enemy.
Honestly, almost no one, and that's the point of it. Because nothing is cut out and nothing is pushed to an extreme, a balanced plan is safe and sensible for just about everyone. If you have a specific health condition or a goal that needs a tighter approach, one of our other plans, or adding a condition to this one, will tune things more closely. But if you just want to eat well and feel good, this is a perfectly serious place to start, and often the place people happily stay.
This is the plan most people actually thrive on for the long haul. It's flexible, it's sustainable, and it's shaped entirely around what you like. The diet you can stick with is the one that works.
