Diets we support › Dairy-Free
Creamy, comforting dishes with the dairy swapped out. No milk or cheese required.
Going dairy-free doesn't have to mean giving up the creamy, comforting food you love. The trick is building that richness a different way, with coconut milk, cashews, tahini, avocado, and nutritional yeast in place of milk, cream, and cheese. That's how these recipes work. Not salads that happen to have no dairy, but satisfying dishes made creamy without it: mac and 'cheese', creamy soups, rich curries, smoothies. And getting your calcium without dairy is easy: these recipes lean on leafy greens, tofu, canned fish with bones, almonds, and fortified plant milks. Whether it's a milk allergy, lactose intolerance, or you just feel better without it, every recipe here is dairy-free from the ground up.
Start your Dairy-Free plan →Your plan runs on two tracks. Plenty of it is food that was never made with dairy in the first place, with calcium coming from leafy greens, tofu, canned fish with the bones in, and fortified plant milks. The rest is the food people actually miss, remade: creamy sauces built on cashew and tahini, curries and smoothies on coconut milk, richness from avocado where cream would have gone. Every recipe here is already dairy-free, so the substituting is done before it reaches you and there is nothing to double-check in your own kitchen.
Anyone with a milk allergy or lactose intolerance, and anyone who simply digests better without dairy.
If you're cutting dairy for a milk allergy, read labels for whey, casein, and lactose. Those are the words that flag hidden dairy. And if you'd like even more to choose from, many of our other plans are naturally dairy-free too, so feel free to explore them for extra variety.
